Appropriate Websites operates the marketing site at appropriatewebsites.com and designs, hosts and maintains websites for its clients. Where this policy refers to “we”, “us”, or “our”, it means Appropriate Websites.

We collect only the information needed to run our service:

• Details you give us in your project brief (name, email, phone, business details, and what you want your website to do).
• Account and billing information once you become a client.
• Technical logs (IP address, browser, device) generated when you visit a site we host — used for security, uptime, and performance.
• Form submissions you send via the contact and support forms on this marketing site.

We do not sell personal data, ever.

To deliver the service: designing and building your website, hosting and maintaining it, sending operational emails, and responding to support requests. We also use anonymised aggregate analytics to improve the marketing site itself.

This marketing site uses a small number of cookies for essential functionality (session, security) and aggregate analytics. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or advertising profiling.

We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service: Cloudflare (hosting + CDN), Mailtrap and Amazon SES (transactional email), and Stripe (billing). Each is bound by contractual data-protection terms.

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Email privacy@appropriatewebsites.com and we'll respond within thirty days.
